Trade registration
Registering a trade as a GbR — what does each person need?
With a GbR — generally: with every partnership — every person who runs the business needs a completely filled-in official form of their own with their own signature.
That is what it says at the head of the official form and is not something we invented.
You enter the details about the business once; the sheets arise from that automatically, one per person.
What is the same on every sheet and what is not
The details about the business — address, activity, start — read the same on every sheet. The details about the person differ, and every person signs their own sheet by hand.
The difference from a GmbH
With a GmbH or another legal person it stays at ONE official form. If there are several legal representatives, their details go on an additional sheet that is placed directly behind the official form. No second application arises from that — and it costs nothing extra either.
Where to take it
To the town or municipal administration in the place where the business is — not to your place of residence, if the two differ.
What that costs
The price depends on how many people need an official form of their own. With a partnership — a GbR, for example — every person who runs the business needs their own completely filled-in sheet with their own signature. The sample calculations are on the page about Trade registration.
